TRIGGER WARNING
This game is themed around Trypophobia. If you have trypophobia, there's a good chance this game will trigger it.
---WHOLE AGAIN---
Your fears pursue you. Use your light to survive against entities hiding in the dark.
---FEARS---
This section contains information on the entities (referred to as fears) encountered in the game.
PESTILENCE: Based on bumps and scabs, specifically those caused by disease.
Pestilence forms randomly around the screen, festering in place. When found, keep the light trained on it for a few seconds to repel it. If left alone for too long, it will end your game.
PEACE: Based on lotus seed pods.
Peace forms outside of your gaze, residing in the darkness. Avoid shining the light on it. If it is exposed to the light for too long, your game will end.
ADMIRATION: Based on insect eyes.
Admiration forms in the dark, its eye glowing from afar. When its eye is fully opened, Admiration will entrance you, pulling your light towards itself in place of your cursor. When spotted, make sure your light is far away from it, as if your light is pulled too close, it will end your game.
SICKLY: Based on honeycomb.
Sickly forms randomly around the screen, her eyes glistening in the dark. When noticed, keep the light trained on her for a few seconds to pop her first eye. After an eye is popped, you must wait until her eyes glow again to pop the next. The flash timing window is much shorter for her second and third eyes, so it's best to prioritize her in most cases.
SHELL: Based on pomegranate.
Shell occasionally appears at your cursor. Make sure to keep the light at a slow and steady speed when Shell is active, as failure to do so will cause it to end your game. Shell can easily make Admiration deadly, as the light will quickly go back to your cursor once Admiration lets go of it. Be sure to have your cursor close to the light when Admiration lets go to minimize the light's speed.
Other fears may be coming.

I saw that you released a Windows version of your game. I’m glad to see that you’re continuing to develop it.
I have a suggestion:
You could add a start menu to the game. In this menu, you could include a tutorial section (the explanations written on the game’s itch.io page) for players using the Windows version.
This game is really awesome! The game is quite tense and the sound design is really well done. Awesome :)
I really enjoyed the game. The way you approached the theme is very well done. The game over screen added in the latest update looks great. After the Game Jam ends, you could continue working on this game and optimize it for different platforms. If the core mechanics remain the same, it could especially work well as a mobile game. I think it would be well-received.
Appreciate the compliments! I think in theory WHOLE would probably work fairly well as a mobile game with a few adjustments, though I'm not sure how I'd go about actually doing that so that'll have to sit on the shelf for now.
You could add a scoring and statistics system. At the end of the game, a game over screen showing which phobia we encountered, how many times we faced it, and the score we got would be nice. Also, having a play again option at the end of the game would be great.
A retry button and time based score was already planned (and should be here by the time the jam is over), but a sort of fear specific stats system could be cool. Thanks for the feedback!
